Hearing Aids FAQs
What types of hearing aids are available?
We offer a range of modern hearing aids including discreet in-the-ear styles, behind-the-ear devices, rechargeable options and Bluetooth-enabled models. Your audiologist will recommend the most suitable type based on your hearing needs and lifestyle.
How do I know if I need a hearing test?
If you are finding it harder to follow conversations, frequently asking people to repeat themselves or turning up the volume on devices, a hearing test can help identify whether hearing aids would be beneficial.
Are hearing tests painful or invasive?
No, hearing tests are completely comfortable and non-invasive. They involve simple listening tests and quick checks of your hearing health to assess your hearing accurately.
How long does it take to get used to new hearing aids?
Most people adjust within a few weeks. We provide full support during your 2-week trial and beyond to help you get used to your hearing aids comfortably.
How often should I get my hearing tested?
We generally recommend having your hearing checked every 1–2 years, or sooner if you notice any changes in your hearing. Regular testing helps track any changes early.
Can hearing aids be adjusted over time?
Yes, hearing aids can be fine-tuned as your hearing or preferences change. We provide ongoing adjustments and support to ensure they continue to meet your needs.
Do hearing aids work for all types of hearing loss?
Hearing aids can help with most types of hearing loss, but suitability depends on your individual hearing assessment. Your audiologist will explain the best options for your specific results.
Will my insurance cover the cost of hearing aids and tests?
We work with Assetsure, so if you choose to insure your hearing aids through them, we can help directly if you ever need a replacement. That means you can come back to us for support, rather than being sent to another provider. Cover for hearing tests and any other costs will still depend on your individual policy, but our team can talk you through it and provide any documents needed for your claim.
Are there hearing aids that are invisible or less noticeable?
Yes, we offer discreet and nearly invisible hearing aid styles that sit inside or behind the ear. Your audiologist will help you choose a design that balances performance and appearance.
